Meet the Founder

Hi, I'm Stacey.

Dukan started in 2019 on a kitchen table in Melrose, after years of feeling like the shopping options online had become either too disposable or too expensive without a clear reason why.

I wanted a small place where every object had a story you could trust — where the ceramics were thrown by a person whose name we knew, where the candles were poured in small batches, and where the team answering the phone was the same person packing your order.

Six years later it's still mostly me, my partner, and two part-time helpers. We work with about forty independent makers, and we still write every product description ourselves.

What We Believe

Three small principles.

Made by people we know.

We don't list anything we haven't held in our hands. Every product is sourced from a maker we've personally met, emailed, or visited.

Made to last.

Heirloom over disposable. We choose pieces that earn their place — natural materials, repairable construction, simple designs that age well.

Made fairly.

We pay our makers their asked price — no haggling, no margin games. It's the only way small workshops can survive long enough to keep making.

Where We Are

Melrose, Massachusetts.

Our small studio sits on Orris Street, a quiet residential block ten minutes north of Boston. We're not currently open to the public, but if you're nearby and curious about a piece, send us a note — we love showing visitors around the workshop by appointment.
